One UCLA is a collective vision for our university’s future. It synthesizes the voices and aspirations of more than 6,300 UCLA faculty, staff, students and alumni who participated in the UCLA Connects: Listening Exercise in 2025. At its core, One UCLA is about unity. This vision brings the university community together to fulfill our shared purpose and potential and achieve our mission of education, research and service. Our guiding principles: to be connective, impactful and exemplary.
One UCLA comes to life through four flagship initiatives that support the goals of UCLA’s 2023–28 Strategic Plan: UCLA Connects, UCLA Research and Innovation Blueprint, UCLA for Life, and Effective UCLA.
The One UCLA logo represents campuswide unity and is used to support efforts that involve or benefit the entire university community.
To maintain clarity and protect its integrity, this mark is reserved for use by the Chancellor’s Office unless specific permission is granted by UCLA Strategic Communications. Contact brand@stratcomm.ucla.edu
Each flagship initiative includes its own dedicated identity mark. These marks signal alignment with UCLA’s strategic priorities and are not intended to serve as standalone unit or program logos.
UCLA Connects bridges divides and builds connections on our campus, across Los Angeles and around the world. Programs and partnerships under UCLA Connects strengthen the ties that bind us as Bruins and inspire respectful engagement. These include Campus Community Conversations, efforts to combat hate and bigotry, community service partnerships, and cultural and academic programs related to the 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

It should appear as a supporting mark and must accompany a UCLA unit logo lockup when used by units across campus. If a project or event involves more than one campus unit, they should be listed in plain text to maintain visual clarity.

By deepening partnerships with industry, philanthropy and governments, UCLA will accelerate discoveries from basic research into commercial applications. The UCLA Research Park is a focal point of the initiative and is anchored by multidisciplinary research centers that advance immunology and immunotherapy and quantum science and engineering.

UCLA for Life reimagines the university's educational mission as a lifelong partnership with its students. UCLA will meet the needs of learners wherever they are in their careers and lives, even decades after college graduation. The university is also evolving how education is delivered (pedagogical innovation). This includes improving classroom design, advancing education technology, and creating better ways to teach based on discoveries about how people learn. Finally, UCLA for Life includes efforts to prepare students to be engaged citizens and productive members of society throughout their lives.
